My counseling orientation and approach is one that centers around long-term solutions as they pertain to mental, behavioral, and emotional health. I seek to connect with clients through empowering techniques that focus on each individual’s unique set of strengths. I most often utilize evidence-based techniques that have been shown in research to be clinically effective, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and narrative therapy. I enjoy working with a spectrum of clients from all different backgrounds. I am committed to providing each of my clients with a safe, welcoming environment that promotes healing and growth.
I am completing my clinical practicum and internship requirements with Central Arkansas Group Counseling, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of this team! I am originally from Washington State and only recently relocated to the beautiful city of Conway. I completed my undergraduate degree in communications at Central Washington University (go Wildcats!) and I will be obtaining my Master of Science in clinical mental health counseling with an emphasis in sexology from Bellevue University in the coming months. I am also a member of the American Counseling Association.
In my free time, you’ll find me reading true crime novels, cooking and baking, or hiking. I enjoy spending time with my fiancé and our four dogs in addition to exploring my new home here in Arkansas.
