Your First Session

During your first appointment with us, the goal is to get to know you and help you to feel welcome and relaxed while you’re in our office. We will greet you warmly when you arrive, answer any questions you may have, assist you in completing your new patient forms when necessary, and introduce you to your counselor. During your initial meeting with one of our skilled professional counselors, we’ll start to establish a positive treatment relationship. You should feel free to ask questions at any time, and we will partner with you to ensure a counseling partnership that can benefit you on your journey. We can’t wait to get started.

Insurance Coverage

We work with patients on a regular basis to maximize available medical insurance coverage, and in most cases, patients are only responsible for their copayment and/or deductible at the time of their appointment. If you have specific questions about how insurance works with mental health care, please don’t hesitate to ask one of our team members or call our billing department to learn more. We never want insurance to come between our patients and the care they need, so we will be happy to help patients complete preapproval requests to ensure their benefits are available before we begin. We work with a number of insurance providers regularly, including the following:

In addition to traditional medical insurance coverage, we work with Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) to provide assessments, short-term counseling, follow up services, and other treatment as outlined by the individual EAP programs. We most frequently work with ComPsych EAP plans, but if you want to learn more about coverage and available services through an EAP, please don’t hesitate to ask us. We’re here to help.

Billing & Payment Information

At the time of service, we ask that patients be prepared to remit payment in the form of cash, check, or credit. In most cases, a one hour session is billed at $120. For patients with insurance, they will usually only need to pay their copayment or deductible at the time of treatment. If you have a flexible spending account (FSA) or health savings account (HSA) as part of your benefit package, these funds can usually be applied to cover the costs of services with our office. Third party financiers that specialize in low and no interest financing for healthcare services are also an option. The Central Arkansas Group Counseling team is happy to work with patients who need financing help, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to our billing department to learn more.
